RAY KAO

Ray Kao is a Taiwanese actor who grew up all around Asia. As a storyteller, he's invested in bridging the gap between those who might not see eye to eye. By bringing his unique cultural upbringing to his work on stage and screen, he hopes to elevate the voices of the characters he plays to help both audiences and his fellow collaborators empathize with perspectives they may not have previously encountered.

 

Since moving to America in 2019, Ray graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he studied with some of the best acting and musical theater teachers in the nation. For his work at Tisch, he was given the Outstanding Achievement in Studio Award by his faculty. In his time at NYU, Ray also double majored in Journalism, where his storytelling passions led him to cover issues of social justice and develop skills in media and entertainment criticism.
